Please note, that IUPAC endorsement implies that entry visas will be granted to all bona fide chemists provided application is made not less than six months in advance. If a visa is not granted two months before the meeting, the IUPAC Secretariat should be notified without delay by the applicant.
To travel to Russia, most foreign nationals are required to have a valid Russian Entry Visa. Russian visa can be obtained at a local Russian Embassy or Consulate (www.russianembassy.net).
To have a visa issued, an official invitation letter processed by the Conference Organizers and approved by Russian Federal Migration Service is required. Ural State Pedagogical University on behalf of the IUPAC HTMC-16 Organizing Committee will provide the visa support (invitation) letter to all the participants.
When filling in the dates of your visit (in the application form) please be sure to add extra days (1-3 days) at the both ends of your period of stay. This is recommended in order to avoid possible complications if, for example, changes occur when booking or purchasing travel tickets, or your departure is delayed or rescheduled.
When your invitation is ready, you will receive a scan-copy by e-mail. The original hard copy may be sent by mail at request.
The Applicants are liable for ensuring that the personal information provided in the visa application form is correct. It is always advisable to consult your local Russian embassy/consulate (www.russianembassy.net) to find out the list of documents required for your visa
